Fr. Lance Campo was raised as a Catholic in Arabi, Louisiana. He completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Spanish in 1984 and worked at NASA Michoud for 4 years. He studied as a seminarian for New Orleans at Notre Dame from 1989 to 1993 when he was ordained. He served as a parochial vicar in parishes on the Westbank, Metairie, and Kenner. He was in Parish Hispanic Ministry for 23 years and served as the Diocesan Director of Hispanic Evangelization and Ministries for 6 years. He received a Licentiate degree in Spiritual Theology in Rome in 2003 and taught at Notre Dame for 3 years. He later served as Formation Director at Notre Dame for 2 years. He was baptized in the Spirit as a teenager and served as the Director of the Center of Jesus the Lord from 2009-2013 and 2019-2024. He was pastor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chalmette and St. Theresa of Avila in New Orleans. He served as a chaplain at Children's Hospital for two years. He is excited to serve as pastor at St. Michael the Archangel, enhancing the deep faith in Jesus Christ of this community and giving glory to God.
